About Sophie
Sophie has lived in three continents: Africa, Europe and North America. She was born and raised in Madagascar, (a big island East of South Africa). She then moved to France in 1982 in order to pursue university studies in sciences and computers.
It was then that she accepted Jesus-Christ as her Lord and Savior in a Baptist church. She received right away the burden to get trained for the ministry with the following scripture: “See that you discharge carefully [the duties of] the ministry and fulfill the stewardship which you have received in the Lord” Colossians 4:17 (AMP).
She graduated from the European Bible Institute in Lamorlaye (North of Paris) in 1988 where she studies the Bible in depth, learned the basics of ministry, and was baptized in water. During that time, she had opportunities to preach the Gospel in the streets of Paris. She also received a prophetic word for teaching according to Daniel 12:3 “Those who are wise will shine as bright as the sky, and those who lead many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever”(NLT)
While still pursuing her studies in computers and starting to work in IT industry, she attended Paris Christian Center -(Formerly known as “Word of Faith Church”). There, she received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. She graduated from the Word of Faith Bible School in 1990 where she acquired the knowledge of how to apply and walk in true faith. The Bible says in Hebrews 11:6 “But without Faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him [out] ”(AMP).
During that period, she also had many opportunities to witness in the streets of Paris. Throughout these years, in her personal life, she saw God’s hand to bring her through, especially regarding finances. Sophie has practiced the giving lifestyle which brought glory to God in various testimonies. She gained a solid foundation on Faith and Biblical Prosperity. The Bible says: ”I will bless you [with abundant increase of favors] and make your name famous and distinguished, and you will be a blessing [dispensing good to others]” Genesis 12:2 (AMP).
As she was still wanting more of God, during early 2000, she was touched by the Fire of God watching Dr Rodney Howard -Browne’s tapes. She participated in Good News Shreveport crusade in Louisiana held by Revival Ministries International in 2000. The Lord then directed her to move to America in 2001. Before moving to Tampa, Florida, she attended the Institute for Spiritual Development (ISD) in Orlando, Florida where she got acquainted with the revelatory gifts, particularly the gift of Dreams interpretation.
She then felt led to move to Tampa and graduated from the Revival Bible Institute (RBI) in 2003. The RBI’s vision is to train men and women in the spirit of revival for ministry in the 21st century. As a Holy Ghost training center, she learned in RBI how to flow in the Holy Spirit. She participated in various outreaches conducted by RBI. During the last 6 years she has been a member of the River at Tampa Bay Church. She has been serving in the children’s Church, in the bookstore, and is part of Pastor Adonica’s Howard-Browne Personal Assistants(PA) team to this day.
As a French National, Sophie speaks three languages: English, French and Malagasy. She is also a Principal Software Engineer with more than fithteen years of experience in the IT industry.
